The Commonwealth of Australia (the Commonwealth) owns the copyright under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) in all information and material produced by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (the Court) except for judgments and information and other material created by the Judges of the Court.
Copyright held by a third party in any website information remains with that party, and permission may be required to reuse any such material. The Court has made all reasonable efforts to ensure that all third-party material is labelled and reproduced on this website with the full consent of the copyright owner.
Please note that court forms, brochures and judgments are not identified as Public Sector Information, but form records of the Court. They are not subject to a creative commons licence, and remain the Intellectual Property of the Commonwealth of Australia through the Court.

Creative Commons licensing
The Court provides all website material (unless otherwise noted and with the exception of the Coat of Arms) with Creative Commons (CC) Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported licensing.
Material may be distributed, as long as it remains unchanged and the Court is credited as the creator.
Australia is one of over 50 countries worldwide which have taken up the Creative Commons (CC) project. The use of CC licensing by the Court puts it among the leaders of government agencies embracing open licensing of public sector information.
Judgments and other court documents and records
Judgments and other court documents and records not identified as public sector information are subject to specific licensing arrangements to be made in each individual case.
