Once a law firm have received confirmation of registration, individuals can request access to the law firm's files. Access can be given to one, more or all files depending on access requirements set by the law firm.
To request access to a firm, each person must register as an individual first.

To request access to a firm:
Step 1: Log in.
Step 2: Select Your profile
Step 3: Select Request access to an organisations files.
Step 4: Enter the name of the law firm whose files you wish to request access select Search (enter at least 3 characters). If you are unable to find your organisation please confirm that it has been registered.
Step 5: Select the appropriate organisation and add a comment if desired then Request access.
Notification will then be sent to the administrators who will need to approve your request.
If you are a barrister and have been briefed by a law firm, you can request access to the law firm's files on the Portal.
Note: A barrister with a direct brief from a client cannot gain access to their file on the portal.

To request access to a firm:

Step 4: Enter the name of the law firm whose files you wish to request access select Search (enter at least 3 characters). If you are unable to find the organisation you should confirm with them that they are registered on the Commonwealth Courts Portal.
Step 5: Select the appropriate organisation and add a comment requesting access to the file then select Request access.
Notification will then be sent to the administrators that you are requesting access.
